Can I upload multiple files simultaneously?
Yes, with SlidePresenter’s Upload Manager it is possible to choose multiple flies and upload them at the same time. This way, you are able to simply let the upload process run in the background.
Can I record the videos to be used in SlidePresenter myself?
Yes, SlidePresenter supports all video formats, which means that you can record with a camera of your choice- whether it’s a mobile, video, or point-and-click camera. Naturally you can also use video material from professional studio cameras, for example, from a professional video recording service.
What do I need to use SlidePresenter?
In order to use the SlidePresenter Software, you will need the following: internet access, (fast) DSL connection, PowerPoint, video material or a camera of your choosing, a web browser with Flash Player, and your own website (only necessary for specific integration needs).
What is a composer?
The composer is a tool that allows you to easily synchronize a presentation.
What does it mean to “synchronize a presentation”?
Synchronizing means that you are able to match up the video and its corresponding slides simply using drag and drop. You also have the possibility to add links and subtitles to the video and slides, and even the option to add a table of contents.
Is it necessary to install another program on my computer in order to use the composer?
No, because SlidePresenter is web-based software. What this means is that you don’t have to install any other software, just have access to Adobe Flash Player, which can already be found on most computers.
Do I need any particular skills or training in order to synchronize a presentation with the composer?
Using the composer is so easy and intuitive that you do not need any special skills or training to use it!
How do I import a time code?
In composer, click on the ‘Presentations’ button, and choose ‘Import Time Codes’ from the menu. From here you can change the timing of the film and import chapter titles. You can download an example in the Tutorials section of our website.
Why does converting my PowerPoint files take longer than my PDFs?
PowerPoint files utilize a variety of elements (graphics, fonts, etc.) that may cause the conversion to take a little longer. PDFs, however, are image files that only contain one graphic element per page, and therefore can be converted faster.
After I uploaded my video, I saw a red ‘1’ and a notice to contact my administrator. What does this mean?
This means that your video file was unable to be converted properly. For help with this, please contact our support.
Why is the uploaded video or PowerPoint not converted?
You may have a longer wait depending on the file type and size. If the file hasn’t been converted after 60 minutes, please contact our support.
Is it possible to include multiple links in a video?
You can simultaneously add multiple links as well as subtitles to the video. However, make sure that the presentation is clear and not confusing.
What formats can I upload and edit within SlidePresenter?
SlidePresenter supports all of the popular file formats. This includes: Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office, PowerPOint, Word, Open Office Writer, as well as multiple image and video formats: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, ppt, pptx, pps, pdf, mkv, flv, avi, mp4, mpg, mpeg, wmv, 3qp, 3q2, mov, mvb, doc, docx, odt, swx, sdw, odp, sxi, sdd, and sdp

How do the videos on SlidePresenter run so smoothly?
SlidePresenter has a worldwide high-availability infrastructure and uses real-time streaming. This is high quality and it makes it easy to navigate through videos without waiting for them to load, unlike in with other formats.
In what format are SlidePresenter’s videos displayed?
All of the video presentations play using either Flash Player version 10.2 or higher or HTML5. This allows SlidePresenter to be viewed using almost any device with Internet access.
Can SlidePresenter also be used in corporate networks?
SlidePresenter can be used just about everywhere. In some exceptions, the streaming protocol used by SlidePresenter may be blocked by a firewall in the company. In this case, you can simply disable the Flash Plug-ins temporarily in the SlidePresenter HTML5 player.
Can SlidePresenter presentations be viewed on PC-tablets or iPads?
Thanks to the HTML5 Player, SlidePresenter’s presentations can be viewed on both PC-tablets and iPads with no problem, even on the go!
What is an HTML5 Player?
HTML, to put it simply, is a text-based programming language. HTML5 is the most recent version that offers new functionality (video, audio, etc.) that is not supported with HTML4. One such example were the plug-ins that were often necessary to run internet based videos with Adobe Flash Player. The HTML5 Player allows SlidePresenter presentations to be viewed from anywhere, not matter what internet-ready device you are using.
Why isn’t my presentation playing after I open it? I’m seeing the error message, “Unknown Error”.
Please check and see if the presentation was activated, if not, please activate it. If the error message continues even if the presentation is activated, please contact our support. Our staff will gladly work with you to resolve the issue.

Can I embed an online presentation onto any website?
Yes, it is possible to embed SlidePresenter presentations onto any website.
How can I integrate SlidePresenter Player or Presentations in my website?
In your SlidePresenter account, you can choose to include multiple buttons or the SlidePresenter Player for integration onto your website. The HTML code for integration is generated automatically and can be copied and pasted directly into your site.
Where can I find the embed codes?
Embed codes are located in the ‘Presentations’ section. Just click on the desired presentation and select “embed” from the right-side menu. If you would like to embed your presentation using a button, click “button”. The code shows up below. You can also copy the code for the player or a SCORM package for use with your LMS.
Why aren’t embed buttons displayed when I select a presentation in my account?
Please check to see if JavaScript is blocked. If that’s the case, just activate it. If this does not help, please contact our support team.
Why does an error message show when I try to view a presentation that I have embedded on my SSL-encrypted website (https://)?
When you chose your embed code, make sure to use the SSL option. This option is enabled and activated through your individual SlidePresenter package.
What are the advantages of offering a presentation through a channel?
With a channel, you can distribute and provide presentations based on your own website with your own CI.
Can I customize the design of my channel with my own corporate design?
Channels offer a variety of options when it comes to customization based on your corporate design.
What aspects of my channel design can I control?
You can determine the color of the text and boxes, as well as the background, header, and logo image itself. You are also able to add text, news, and integrated presentations.
Do I need to make the channel myself?
You are welcome to customize the channel, but if you would rather, our team would be happy to do it for you.
Can I include my channel on my own website?
Of course! You can do this using a library, which you can embed using and embed code, or you can bind the channel to your website using iFrame. If you need any help with this, our support team would be happy to assist.
Can I offer my channel for sale?
Yes. You can decide on a price for you channel and choose what duration for which the channel is made available to the buyer.
Do all of my synchronized online presentations on the SlidePresenter platform have to be published?
No, there is a visibility setting within your SlidePresenter account, which you can used to adjust the visibility for each presentation individually.

How does SlidePresenter’s integrated billing system work?
Thanks to the integrated sales function, you are able to set prices for your presentation and offer them for sale. The billing system works automatically during the purchase of a presentation- the buyer can easily pay with an EC- or credit card (Mastercard or Visa) or with PayPal. SlidePresenter’s sales function will automatically take care of the billing and the seller receives the sales proceeds directly into their account at the end of the month.
How frequently can purchased videos be viewed?
Generally, the purchased videos may be viewed by the buyer 2.5 times the duration of the presentation. This is an ideal solution, since it protects against unauthorized distribution or access to the video while still allowing a sufficient amount of time to review the presentation.
How often can I, as the administrator, view the videos?
As the administrator, you have unlimited access to view your videos, even when using the integrated sales function.
Are the presentation slides printable?
Due to protection policies against unauthorized reproduction and distribution, the presentations cannot be downloaded or printed. There are, however, individual solutions that may cater to your needs. For more information, contact us.
How are sold presentations invoiced?
The sold presentations are billed monthly. At the beginning of the following month, you receive credit for the prorated amount of your sales. The money is then transferred to your chosen bank account.
Do I have to take care of the advertising for my online presentations myself?
Yes. SlidePresenter will handle your billing and the sales themselves, but you are responsible for the marketing of your presentations. Though through clever advertising through social networks, email campaigns, or internet advertising, you can quickly and easily spread the word about your presentations!

How secure is my data on SlidePresenter?
Data that SlidePresenter is stored on servers, which are housed in high-security data centers.
Can online presentations be downloaded?
No, using the SlidePresenter format, it is not possible to download the content of online presentations.
Are there extra security options that I need to obtain in order to protect my information?
No, your data is always protected. You are able to decide the extent to which your presentations are made available for third parties. For particularly high security requirements, such as with financial institutions, we also offer functions such as domain restriction or SSL encryption.
How can I purchase security options?
You are able to choose security options when you book your package, or after you have chosen your package, you can opt for additional options in your account homepage.
How does domain restriction work?
Domain restriction prevents your presentation from being show on unwanted websites. If someone tries to access your presentation through an unapproved website, this function will not allow the presentation to be viewed.
Am I able to protect my presentation using SSL encryption?
With the enterprise package and up, you are able to stream all presentations over https (SSL encryption).

What type of camera is necessary for recording SlidePresenter presentations?
Almost every type of camera will work for a SlidePresenter presentation. We recommend cameras that can record 4:3. For professional presentation recordings, we can recommend particular models, just ask us.
What suggestions do you have for sound and lighting?
You should try at avoid any background noise and make sure there is ample lighting in order to improve the quality of the video. For professional recording, for example at a conference, we recommend that you connect the sound equipment locally in order to enhance the sound quality. For lighting, we recommend at least three-point-lighting. When using a stage, make sure that the subject is not recorded only from above to avoid shadows. Generally, a bright room is better. When recording using only daylight, it is important to recognized that the light can change during recording.
Why is my SlidePresenter presentation blurry?
In this case, it is likely that your video is not deinterlaced. This means that you have to merge the half fields when you export the video as most cameras record in half fields (50i). This is avoided by converting the video (deinterlacing) into full screen mode.
What video settings are recommended for use with SlidePresenter?
We recommend the following video settings:
- Video Container: MPEG-4
- Video codec: H.264
- Video bitrate: 2000 kb / s
- Video dimensions (4:3): 1440 x 1080
- Video dimensions (16:9) 1920 x 1080
- Audio Bitrate: 160kb / s
Minimum requirements:
- Video bitrate (Min): 720 kb / s
- Video dimensions (4:3): 640x480
- Video dimensions (16:9): 704x576
- Audio bitrate (Min): 64kb / s
The video should be "deinterlaced" provided to avoid blurring.

Is it possible for me or my coworkers to train on “lecture recording”?
We can help you and your coworkers train on optimal lecture recording. You will be trained in camera, lighting, and sound reduction in order to perform any future recordings yourself, in house.
Where does the employee training take place?
All training courses can either be held on-site at our headquarters in Frankfurt, or at your location. The cost of training varies depending on the number of participants. Please contact us with any questions.

What is the cost of using the SlidePresenter application?

Does the size of the files that I upload or use influence the cost of my price package?
No. the size of the uploaded flies does not matter. The extent of the package price depends on the duration of the published presentation. However, the maximum upload size per file is 2GB.
What are the costs if I would like to sell my presentations exclusively through the SlidePresenter system?
With the SlidePresenter sales function, you are able to profit in a very special way. The billing is done using our integrated sales function and you automatically receive the earned money on your account. You will only have extra-costs in the form of a commission for SlidePresenter if you actually sell SlidePresentations. The basis for selling presentations is always a regular SlidePresenter package. However SlidePresenter offers customized packages for the monetization of your speeches, trainings and lectures which besides offerings for the recording and production of your content also includes individual agreements on the size of the sales commission. If you have any further questions, please let us know!
How does the Trial Period work and what functions can I access?
The trial account will automatically expire after 30 days. You do not need to do anything extra to cancel your trial. During these 30 days, you will have full access to all of the SlidePresenter features without restriction.

What do I do if I didn’t receive an activation link after registering?
Please check your spam folder. Alternatively, you can contact our support to activate your package.

You can send a request for a new password. Below the login field, there is a link to request a new password. In order to have it sent to you, just provide us with the email address you used to register.

Please contact our support via the online contact form or telephone. Our staff can tell you what email address you used to register.
How can I change my password?
In your “Account” section, you can easily change your password by entering a new password into the appropriate fields and hitting “save”.
How can I change the email address for my login?
In the “Account” section you can simply enter a new email address and hit “save”. Please note that this must be a valid email address that you are able to access. A confirmation link will be sent to the new address, and once you have clicked on the confirmation link, the address will be changed.
Where can I change my display name?
Within your account, you can change your display name at any time by entering a new name and clicking “save”.
